What is a cubetimer?
A cubetimer is a stopwatch built for speedcubing. It generates a legal scramble, times your solve to the millisecond, and keeps the result so it can be averaged against the rest. Flowtimer is a free cubetimer that does all of that in your browser, with no account needed to start.
Is Flowtimer really free?
Yes, every bit of it. The timer, analytics, the archive, racing, the trainer, competitions and cloud sync. There is no paid tier and no feature locked behind one.
Do I need an account to use the cube timer?
No, just open the timer and solve. Make an account when you want your solves backed up and synced to your other devices.
Which puzzles can I scramble?
Every official WCA event, from 2x2 up to 7x7 plus Pyraminx, Megaminx, Skewb, Square-1, Clock, one-handed, blindfolded and fewest moves. Scrambles come from TNoodle, the same generator used at competitions.
Does the timer work offline?
Yes. After the first load you can time and scramble with no connection at all, and everything uploads the moment you are back online.
Can I import my solves from csTimer or another timer?
Yes. Import reads the standard export formats and brings your sessions and penalties across intact, however many years of history you have.
How precise is the timing?
Down to the millisecond. Stackmat timers work if you want competition hardware, and a Bluetooth smart cube gives you the timing plus every move you made.
What do I need for a smart cube?
A browser with Web Bluetooth, so Chrome, Edge or Opera on desktop and Android. GAN, MoYu, QiYi, GoCube, Giiker and HEYKUBE cubes are all supported.
